| Congratulations on your new puppy! Things to get you started. All of our puppies are sold on AKC limited registration. AKC allows breeders to sell puppies on limited registration as pets. Limited registration means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. Limited registration can be lifted, however any potential breeding stock should exhibit qualities that improve the breed. If you are interested in showing your dog or competing in hunt tests, we would either require references from other known breeders or we would consider a co-ownership until the dog has passed their health clearances and you have made progress towards an AKC title. Your new puppy will go home with his/her first set of shots, an Avid microchip, and will have been wormed at 3, 5, and 8 weeks. The next shots and worming will be due at 11 weeks of age. We also send the puppy home with a bag of Propac Lamb & Rice puppy food and a puppy kit which includes another certificate good for a free bag of food. This way your puppy will start out on the right foot. Until your puppy has all of their shots (4 months of age) you should avoid public places. Maternal antibodies can interfere with the vaccines.
